Welcome to the First Edition of Sea Savy. This blog was created to make information on cruising available to many people. My 18 years experience (17 cruises and 40 ship inspections) has taught me a lot about cruising, including what to do in ports of call, what to eat, what's included in your price, and most importantly, how NOT to get sea sick.
Our goal is to make you a savy cruiser. You'll be the envy of other passengers when you know inside information, shopping tips and excursion choices.
The first tip is the most important tip I can offer you. Use a travel agent. Find an agent in your local area who is CLIA certified (Cruise Lines International Association) as well as an Accredited or Master Cruise Counselor. These are agents who have invested in additional training on cruise ships and cruise lines. They will have taken a minimum of 3 cruises, all on different cruise lines. If you can't find an agent locally, email me and I'll be happy to help you. You can reach me at veann@bhtravel.com or check out our website at http://www.bhtravel.com/. I have clients all over the United States.
Let me know what questions you have, or topics you'd like to discuss. I will be posting pictures from cruises I've been on as well as information on new ships. Until next time....
SEA YA!
